Job Description

Overview

We are currently seeking an Industrial / Sanitary Welder to join our team. This role plays a critical part in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems and equipment used in industrial and sanitary processing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and other alloys commonly used in industrial and sanitary applications.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems, structural components, and equipment in industrial environments such as food processing and manufacturing facilities.
  • Execute sanitary welds requiring high purity and precision, including orbital welding when applicable.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and weld symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and align materials to tight tolerances using hand tools and powered equipment.
  • Conduct repairs and modifications on existing systems, including troubleshooting weld failures and equipment issues.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
  • Maintain proper documentation of work performed, including weld logs when required.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including confined space, lockout/tagout, and hot work protocols.
  • Collaborate with pipefitters, millwrights, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
  • Travel to job sites as needed to support installations, shutdowns, and maintenance projects.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in industrial welding, sanitary welding, or pipe welding environments.
  • Proficiency in TIG welding (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and stick welding experience a plus.
  • Experience working with stainless steel piping systems and sanitary standards preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and weld procedures.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong understanding of metal properties, weld preparation, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting, climbing, and working in tight or elevated spaces.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for project work.
  • Leadership or crew lead experience is a plus.
  • Must have a Class E driver's license and OSHA 10 certification, which will be required after hire.
