Overview

PVS Structures is hiring novice welders for a weekend shift, offering a starting pay of $20–$24/hr while allowing employees to work 36 hours and get paid for 40. This role provides hands-on experience in fabricating structural carbon steel under the guidance of experienced tradespeople.

Responsibilities

• Learn to assemble and weld structural carbon steel components under the guidance of seasoned welders.
• Operate MIG welding equipment and develop proficiency through hands-on, on-the-job training.
• Practice preheating, cutting, and fitting techniques as part of the fabrication process.
• Perform cleaning and inspection of welds to develop an eye for quality.
• Begin reading and interpreting basic blueprints and weld symbols with mentor support.
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work area.
• Ask questions, absorb knowledge, and grow.

Requirements

• Some welding experience or training, such as welding school graduates or vocational program completers.
• Eagerness to learn and improve.
• Detail-oriented and safety-conscious.
• Reliable and committed to showing up for a consistent Friday–Sunday schedule.
• Team player who takes direction well and isn't afraid to ask questions.
• A genuine passion for the craft of welding.

• Location: Carter Lake, IA (Near Downtown Omaha).
