Overview

Demco is seeking experienced welders with at least one year of welding experience for current openings at their facility in Spencer, IA. Prior MIG welding experience in multiple positions and material thickness is required, and Demco offers a competitive compensation and benefits package based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Able to read and use measuring tools accurately
• Able to use a hoist or crane and know the correct procedures to operate it
• Complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis
• Prioritize and sort jobs according to needs
• Be safety minded
• Maintain attention to detail and a high standard of quality
• Comply with ISO 9001 required policies
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrate good interpersonal, verbal communication and active listening skills
• Willingness and ability to learn and perform other jobs
• Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull 100 pounds occasionally
• Forklift experience preferred, willingness to be trained required

Requirements

• At least one year of welding experience
• Prior MIG welding experience in multiple positions and material thickness
• Able to read weld symbols
• Follow safety procedures
• Keep an accurate count on product
• Able to read prints and weld according to print directions
• Must be able to pass a welding test

Additional Information

• Starting wage based on experience
• Hours are Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm and Fridays as needed
