At Life Line, you won’t just build parts — you’ll help build ambulances that save lives every day. The Remount Welder/Fabricator is responsible for prepping and remounting trucks/chassis, fabrication, and welding repairs in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Prep and remount trucks/chassis.
- Perform fabrication and welding repairs.
- Assist other departmental employees.
- Adhere to production schedule while maintaining quality.
- Interact with internal and external customers.
- Inspect finished products during manufacturing.
- Apply quality assurance techniques.
- Meet or exceed cost reduction goals.
- Understand manufacturing methods and techniques.
- Work closely with Engineering staff.
- Assist production personnel.
Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or technical training in related field or equivalent experience.
- Self-starter with good work discipline.
- Team player.
- Results oriented.
- Motivated.
- Desire to obtain additional personal developmental training.
- Mechanical aptitude including power and/or air tools.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- TIF and MIG welding experience is a plus.
- Forklift operation and experience unloading steel is a plus.
Additional Information
- Regularly works indoors and occasionally exposed to outside elements.
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, cold, and heat.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift, move and carry.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to use senses of sight, touch, sound, and smell.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination is required.
- Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, if applicable.
