Overview

SCC Inspection is seeking a full-time Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support current construction projects, focusing on quality management and visual inspection of welds in various construction settings. The position will initially be based in Great Falls, MT.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the Project Manager to determine specific requirements of work orders.
• Resolve schedule issues with fabrication shops, contractors, and third parties.
• Ensure services are performed according to project requirements and client contracts.
• Generate and process timesheets, billing reports, and inspection reports promptly.
• Maintain communication regarding upcoming assignments and potential work.
• Foster positive relationships between the facility, client, and SCC Inspection.
• Adopt a client-oriented approach to understand and fulfill client needs.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in quality control and assurance processes.
• Communicate technical issues effectively to the Project Manager, clients, and fabrication facilities.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and modern communication equipment proficiently.
• Multi-task and execute multiple assignments efficiently without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with clients, field staff, and other entities as needed.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of welding inspection experience.
• Current AWS CWI Certification.
• Background in handling Structural Steel/Pipe Welding/Refineries.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with D1.1 to D1.5.
• Certification of understanding of NDE methods including MT/PT/Phased Array is a plus.
