Overview
The Shop Technician position involves performing various testing, repair, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance activities, including safety and quality control inspections, while adhering to company policies and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Steaming and cleaning fishing and rental tools.
- Setting up, programming, and prepping all assigned equipment while performing full operational checks.
- Rebuilding equipment using standard rebuild processes.
- Analyzing and troubleshooting equipment failures to determine necessary corrective actions.
- Fabricating and assembling new or modified mechanical components for products.
- Operating drill presses, grinders, engine lathes, or other machines to modify or fabricate parts.
- Inspecting all assembly parts and reporting defective materials or questionable component conditions to management.
- Reading dials and meters to determine electrical output and input to analyze parts performance.
- Fabricating special fixtures needed to complete tasks.
- Welding, cutting, painting, and/or grinding various raw building materials as required.
- Assisting with special projects and covering for multiple positions when staffing levels are low.
- Observing and following all company safety rules and policies.
