Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, on-call and rotating shifts, and holidays.
• Experience with reading blueprints and precision measurements.
• Troubleshooting experience.
• Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation.
• Able to work in extreme heat/cold, navigate catwalks and ladders, and perform physical functions including climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively and constructively.
• Comprehension of complex work instructions and documentation.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts in an industrial environment.
• Basic trade skills in industrial equipment repair and routine preventative maintenance of heavy industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of Mig, Tig and Arc welding.
• Machinist training and experience.
• Stable employment history with a minimum of two years of experience in Industrial Maintenance work or equivalent education.
• A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of bearing installment, coupling, belts, sprockets and chain drive installations.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Basic knowledge of metal fabrication.
• Basic knowledge of cylinder repair.
• Working knowledge of basic industrial electricity issues.
• Vocational or technical school certificate in a related area.
• Past employment experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Past employment in a plywood or veneer manufacturing facility.
• Experience with CMMS.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools and precision measuring and test instruments.
• Experienced in pneumatic, hydraulic and conveyor systems.
• Skilled in all aspects of mechanical maintenance.
• Team oriented.
