Overview

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Pressure Vessel Welder role in Boring, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on pressure vessels in accordance with ASME codes and company specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Set up and operate welding equipment (TIG, MIG, Stick) for various materials and thicknesses.
• Inspect welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with quality standards.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning prior to welding.
• Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Accurately document work performed, including weld logs and inspection results.
• Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or safety concerns promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in pressure vessel welding or similar heavy fabrication.
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding processes.
• Familiarity with ASME Section VIII or IX codes strongly preferred.
• Ability to pass weld tests and certifications as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including overtime as needed.
