Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency, contributing to the successful completion of projects involving structural steel, ductwork, piping, and custom fabrications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Perform MIG and FCAW welding, and various welding techniques to join materials according to industry standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Fabricate sheet metal structures, ductwork, piping systems, and mechanical assemblies following ASME codes & standards.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and installation on construction sites or in manufacturing facilities.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working on site and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and ensure project deadlines are met.
Requirements
- Extensive construction site experience with knowledge of safety regulations and site protocols.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding, plasma cutting, and various specific welding standards.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, and power tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, assembly processes, rigging operations, and ductwork fabrication.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication dimensions and material quantities.
- Experience with equipment operation for material handling and familiarity with schematics for mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques.
