Overview

As a Welder 2 at MKS, you will partner with the Welding department, Engineering, and Quality Control to fabricate various MKS products. In this role, you will report to the Welding Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the fabrication of Custom Products and modification of products to customer specifications.
• Proficient in planning, laying out and performing welding to a variety of stainless-steel valves, gauges and other components.
• Works with engineers in custom product design for production.
• Completes fabrication and assembly welding from blueprints, verbal and written instructions.
• Modify standard valves and components per application and engineering specifications.

Requirements

• 2+ years of related experience required.
• Requires TIG welding experience.
• Ability to utilize complicated drawings and specifications.
• Advanced mathematics skills.
• Knowledge of a variety of precision measuring instruments.
• Trade knowledge equivalent to training in a formal apprenticeship program.
