Overview

The Fitter and Weld Assist role involves supporting tank fabrication operations through welding, installing piping, and fabricating parts. The position requires basic maintenance and inspection of equipment, adherence to safety practices, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing piping and fabricating parts for tanks.
• Perform basic maintenance and inspection of equipment.
• Request supplies as needed.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Practice safe work habits and participate in required safety training.

Requirements

• Able to read simple blueprints and use a tape measure.
• Able to mig or stick weld.
• Able to follow instructions and work with little supervision.
• Requires high school diploma or GED equivalency.
• At least three years of successful continuous employment in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Moderate physical effort; able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform various physical tasks.
