Overview
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication, focusing on laying out, fitting, fabricating, installing, and constructing metal components using Tig/Mig welding techniques based on technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and work from detailed technical drawings.
- Measure and cut metal components using machinery.
- Position, clamp, tack weld, and secure parts for assembly using lifts, cranes, and forklifts.
- Perform high-quality Tig/Mig welding on various steels in different positions.
- Inspect welds for structural integrity, defects, and adherence to specifications using measuring tools.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment; adhere to company safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in welding/fabrication.
- Proven proficiency in Tig/Mig welding.
- Strong understanding of welding symbols and fabrication techniques.
- Strong math skills for measuring, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials (often 50+ lbs), and work in varied positions.
