Overview

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication, focusing on laying out, fitting, fabricating, installing, and constructing metal components using Tig/Mig welding techniques based on technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and work from detailed technical drawings.
• Measure and cut metal components using machinery.
• Position, clamp, tack weld, and secure parts for assembly using lifts, cranes, and forklifts.
• Perform high-quality Tig/Mig welding on various steels in different positions.
• Inspect welds for structural integrity, defects, and adherence to specifications using measuring tools.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment; adhere to company safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in welding/fabrication.
• Proven proficiency in Tig/Mig welding.
• Strong understanding of welding symbols and fabrication techniques.
• Strong math skills for measuring, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials (often 50+ lbs), and work in varied positions.
