Job Description
Overview
The TIG Welder position in Terrebonne involves reading and interpreting various technical documents to plan pipe welding procedures and preparing stainless steel pipe joints for welding. The role requires expertise in TIG welding and attention to detail to ensure proper alignment and cleanliness of joints.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, welding symbols, specifications, and WPS to plan pipe welding requirements and procedures.
- Prepare stainless steel pipe joints by cleaning, grinding, beveling, trimming, aligning, and fitting-up for proper root gaps and alignment.
- Set up TIG welding equipment, selecting tungsten electrodes and filler rods.
