Overview
The Metal Fabricator/Welder at Premier Fence, LLC is responsible for fabricating custom metal products such as fence panels, gates, and posts using various welding and power tools. The role requires reading blueprints, ensuring quality, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Reads, interprets, and follows plans and blueprints to produce custom products.
- Safely operates power saws, routers, and hand tools to customize materials.
- Loads and adjusts workpieces onto equipment or worktables.
- Measures and marks equipment, objects, or parts to meet specifications.
- Manufactures panels or materials through grinding, sanding, and polishing.
- Verifies quality of finished workpieces by inspecting and measuring.
- Works with the team to ask for help and provide feedback.
- Transfers finished objects to specified work areas using moving devices.
- Builds custom products using necessary tools and equipment.
- Follows all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
- Follows instructions from the Production Manager.
- Handles high dust environments and wears safety masks as needed.
- Visually differentiates between colors and textures.
- Works in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
Requirements
- Be on time and present for work daily.
- Take responsibility for getting work done in a timely manner.
- Maintain a positive attitude toward personal, department, and company goals.
- 1 year of experience in Metal Pipe Fabrication (Preferred).
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and fabrication techniques.
- Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools effectively.
- Familiarity with construction sites and working with sheet metal.
- Certification in welding or a relevant field is a plus.
