Overview

As a Welder at Terex/CBI in Newton, NH, you will prepare machine frames by cutting, trimming, grinding, fabricating, and welding components. Terex Corporation is a global leader in specialized equipment solutions, dedicated to quality, innovation, and fostering an inclusive work culture.

Responsibilities

• Join metal components or fabricated assemblies
• Cut, trim, or grind metal objects to dimensions per layout, work order, or blueprints
• Operate plasma cutter and oxy/acetylene torch
• Operate hand grinder, power tools, saw, and ironworker
• Operate welding machine
• Perform carbon arc, torch, and plasma cutting
• Set up and fit up components
• Build fabrications to blueprints holding tolerances
• Perform finish welding
• Operate machinery including vertical bandsaw, punch press, and Bridgeport
• Work independently and with a team
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Welding certificate preferred
• Aluminum welding experience preferred
• Working knowledge of welding techniques
• Knowledge of materials and welding wires
• Ability to perform in several areas as required
• Decisions using ingenuity, initiative, and sound judgment
• Basic mathematical skills
• Parts preparation skills
• Rigging/hoisting operations
• Forklift experience
• Stick, gas, mig, tig welding experience
• Familiar with respiratory equipment

• Prolonged periods of standing on concrete flooring
• Ability to wear a supplied-air respirator without restrictions
