The Welder position involves welding metal and aluminum components to fabricate or repair products according to layouts and blueprints, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize all safety devices and wear mandatory personal protective equipment.
- Maintain and operate production tooling and fixtures as well as all welding equipment safely.
- Produce high-quality welds with a low non-conformity rate using GMAW arc welding.
- Perform welding operations with limited planning from blueprints or specifications.
- Adjust welding equipment to its prescribed settings if applicable.
- Read and complete labor reporting system and standard shop forms.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets without assistance.
- Setup, operate, and perform general maintenance of equipment.
- Make mathematical calculations in preparing products or setting up machinery.
- Communicate and interact positively with coworkers.
Requirements
- Must maintain a safe and productive working environment.
- Ability to regularly meet or exceed production goals without sacrificing safety or quality.
- Ability to read weld symbols and understand blueprints.
- Ability to calculate simple mathematics and interpret shop drawings.
- Basic working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook.
- Acceptable attendance and prior employment record.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes if applicable, with prior experience preferred.
- Must be able to use and accurately read a tape measure.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Six months to one year of previous, hands-on MIG welding experience in a production environment.
- Multi-pass, stack layering welding experience.

Additional Information
- Full time hours, Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (+ Overtime as needed)
- Reports to the Welding Supervisor
