Overview

The Sign Fabricator role involves the fabrication of various types of custom electric signs, ensuring they meet quality standards and timelines. The position requires collaboration with project managers and adherence to technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently fabricate custom electric signs that meet or exceed quality standards.
• Meet with project manager to review project details.
• Read and follow drawings, build sheets, and materials lists.
• Fabricate the sign structure using specified materials such as steel or aluminum.
• Attach sheet metal skin using CNC routed parts and various tools.
• Prepare sign for paint using fillers, sanders, and cleaners.
• Paint sign parts using a Matthews Paint System and paint booth.
• Wire the sign according to specifications using various lighting methods.
• Perform final assembly of the sign.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform routine maintenance on equipment.

Requirements

• MIG welding experience.
• Experience with sheet metal breaks and shears.
• Proficiency as an iron worker.
• Familiarity with sheet metal tools.
• Knowledge of metalworking tools, saws, and various hand tools.
• Forklift operation skills.
• Painting skills.
• Ability to perform simple math.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
