Overview

The Airport Lounge Cleaner position at Hyde Park Hospitality involves performing a full range of cleaning duties to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with sanitation regulations at The Club lounge in Chicago Midway International Airport. Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and break rooms.
• Assist with clearing tables of dirty dishes and cleaning tables.
• Restock beverage stations.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
• Empty wastebaskets and recyclables and transport to designated disposal areas.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, and floors in restrooms.
• Replenish restroom supplies and polish metalwork including fixtures and fittings.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, including scrubbing, waxing, and polishing as needed.
• Wash walls, woodwork, clean windows, door panels, partitions, and windowsills.
• Notify supervisor of any maintenance repairs or additions needed.
• Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and partitions.
• Stand during the entire scheduled shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in housekeeping/janitorial field.
• Ability to maintain a presentable and polished appearance.
• Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced work shift up to ten hours.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
• Regular and timely reporting on work.
• Adherence to local and state health department guidelines.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must pass and obtain security background check and clearance to work in airport environment.

• Shift Schedule: Monday & Tuesday-2:00pm-10:30pm; Wednesday-off; Thursday-7:00am-3:30pm; Friday-10:00am-6:30pm; Saturday-12:00pm-8:30pm; Sunday-off.
