Overview

Lennox, a leader in HVAC and refrigeration solutions, is seeking a skilled MIG Welder for their AES division in Tallassee, AL. This position involves performing welding tasks with precision and expertise, contributing to the production of roof curbs and drop boxes while working in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate custom and standard products from blueprints with high attention to detail and efficiency.
• Communicate with shop manager and engineering on product issues and assist with streamlining methods for production.
• MIG weld 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel for adapters, curbs, and other products.
• Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
• Under direct supervision, spot welds together metal components.

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Trade school or certification in welding.
• Required: 1-year previous MIG welding experience.
• Familiar with safe welding practices.
• Capable of learning to read fabrication drawings with some instruction.
• Must be physically capable of loading fabrication parts onto the weld table.
• Capable of blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Individual must be a self-starter and need minimal guidance on daily tasks.
• Must be quality oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams.
• Individual must have a working knowledge of MIG welding machines with respect to preventive maintenance and control settings to obtain maximum efficiencies.
• Able to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.

Additional Information

• This will be a 3rd shift position with hours from Monday-Thursday 8pm-6:30am.
