Overview

The Plumber/Pipefitter is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, equipment, utilities, fire protection, high pressure steam piping, and related pump systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair facilities, equipment, utilities, and pump systems.
• Maintain, test, and repair sprinkler system components.
• Conduct inspections of maintenance, repair, and installation projects performed by contractors.
• Use plumber tools to diagnose defects and malfunctions.
• Conduct regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and complete inspection sheets.
• Attend the Fire Sprinkler School at Shepard Air Force Base when openings are available.
• Report for duty during the night or on weekends for emergency repairs.

Requirements

• Must obtain a Back Flow Testing License within one year of employment.
