Overview
The Sheet Metal Fabricator position at NANA Construction involves fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products, including cladding and paneling, while ensuring weatherproof applications. The role requires a focus on safety, adherence to specifications, and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
Responsibilities
- Develops plan and sequence of operations.
- Installs insulated and non-insulated wall panels and trim packages.
- Locates and marks bending and cutting lines onto work.
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, and drill presses.
- Works with power tools and follows site safety guidelines.
- Designs and constructs templates.
- Verifies conformance of projects to specifications.
- Maintains material and inventory.
- Assembles and fits parts using power and hand tools.
- Frequently operates on scaffolding and out of aerial lifts.
- Reports all incidents/accidents to their Supervisor.
- Performs other duties pertinent to the department's success.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years related experience.
- Minimum two (2) years directly related fabrication experience.
- Alaska Painters Certification preferred.
- Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years preferred.
