Overview

PCL is seeking a Combination Pipe Welder for the Willow Project in North Slope, Alaska. The company is committed to building better communities and offers a supportive environment for career development.

Responsibilities

• Weld with dual/different processes.
• Pass welding tests per project specifications and/or weld procedure.
• Perform welding duties to meet project specifications and code criteria.

Requirements

• Minimum of 48+ verifiable work experience as a Combination Pipe welder.
• Complete NSTC training and be certified prior to arrival.
• Strong working knowledge of pipe welding.
• Experience with methods and techniques to level, plumb, align, and set equipment and piping.
• Knowledge of chemical composition of metals, compounds, alloys, heat transfer rates, thermal expansion, and material strength.
• Able to use torch cutting equipment and pipe cutting/beveling machines.
• Knowledge of materials requiring proper pre-heating prior to cutting or welding.
• Able to understand and apply applicable welding codes.
• Able to read and understand weld procedures.

Additional Information

• Schedule is 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
• Man-Camp location includes meals and snacks.
• Employees must book and pay for their own flight to Anchorage, Alaska and purchase their own cold weather gear.
