Overview

The Field Service Welder Tech 2 position involves working in various field settings on industrial and mechanical projects, focusing on the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and mining equipment. The role requires welding and mechanical skills, the ability to work in adverse conditions, and a willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and mining equipment.
• Work in various settings on comprehensive industrial and mechanical projects.
• Travel as required for field work.
• Assist in different departments in the shop setting when field work is not available.
• Work in adverse weather conditions and at heights.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in welding or heavy industrial mechanics.
• Knowledge of shop mechanics and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, identify and correct problems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with a focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task daily.
• Self-directed and can work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Preferred: MSHA certification, OSHA safety training, 2-year Welding degree or certificate.
