Responsibilities

• Perform all types of TIG welding to repair/replace damaged areas and cracks on aircraft parts and fixtures.
• Perform TIG welding operations on aircraft components to meet NDT specifications and ensure efficient flow of work.
• Perform TIG welding operations on titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, and Nickel alloy parts.
• Work with Engineering to develop programs and determine new methods and material types.
• Inspect weld for bead size and compliance with specifications.
• Blend, grind, or polish weld to meet specified minimum wall requirements.
• Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to measure repaired parts.
• Complete production paperwork.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machines.

Requirements

• 3+ years in aerospace environment.
• Ability to pass welding tests for aircraft welding certifications.
• Knowledge/Practical experience in aerospace environment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 3rd Shift Mon-Fri 10:30pm-7:00am.
• Must be able to train on 1st and/or 2nd shift.
