Responsibilities

• Layout and fabricate steel and other metals to the specifications of blueprints/shop drawings.
• Read and interpret shop drawings for fabrication to the contract and detailing specifications.
• Determine necessary materials, tools, and equipment for tasks.
• Lay out and mark for precision.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and team members.
• Adhere to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Structural Steel or Miscellaneous Metal Fitter or 5 – 6 years’ combined welding/layouts.
• Minimum 4 years proven ability to read, interpret and create from shop drawings/blueprints.
• Must be committed to organizational safety.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team structure.
• Ability to work year-round in extreme temperature variations.
• Must have reliable transportation and live within a 25 mile radius.
• Candidates must successfully pass pre-employment screenings including background check, physical examination, and substance abuse screenings.
