Overview

Amentum is looking for a Welder to join their team in McLean, VA. The Welder will perform welding and fabricating activities, including installations and maintenance of piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fit, and weld components to assemble structural forms according to blueprints.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using various tools.
• Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping and piping systems for various industrial processes.
• Plan sequence of installation to ensure effective communication between all phases.
• Perform work based on preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assist outside contractors with knowledge of facilities, operations, and utilities.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Top Security Clearance.
• High School, Technical School, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.
• Four years of experience in Welding and/or pipefitting trade.
• Must possess or be able to obtain in one year, an ASME certification for pressure vessels.
• Ability to write correspondence.
• Ability to efficiently present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
