Overview
Newport Industries, LLC is a growing fabrication and machining shop located in West Branch, IA, seeking a dedicated Fabricator/Welder who takes pride in their work and is eager to improve their skills. This full-time position offers a hands-on role with opportunities for growth based on skill and ownership.
Responsibilities
- Welding (MIG/TIG/Laser – steel, stainless, aluminum)
- Fitting and assembling parts
- Operating press brakes and lasers
- Grinding, finishing, and preparing parts for final use
Requirements
- MIG welding experience (TIG is a plus)
- Ability to read prints and work from drawings
- General fabrication and fit-up experience
- Press brake or laser experience is a bonus
- Experience building assemblies is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot or improve jobs
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Willingness to work in a hands-on, fast-paced shop environment
