Overview

Universal Industries, Inc. is looking for experienced welders to work in a fast-paced sheet metal manufacturing environment, welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized material based on predesigned blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Weld together metal components of products.
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized material with electric arc-welding equipment.
• Operate manufacturing computer system in relation to shop orders and time card data entry.
• Operate LP and/or electric fork truck(s) to gather parts for weldments and to deliver finished weldments, when necessary.
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jig or fixture.
• Tack assemblies together.

Requirements

• Weld test required.
• Ability to mig weld.
• Tig welding experience a plus.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Must lift 20 to 75 lbs.
• Excellent attendance/reliability.
• Willing to work overtime when necessary.
• High school/GED.
