Walpole Outdoors has been a leader in handcrafted outdoor products since 1933, providing a wide variety of styles and custom designs for homeowners and professionals. They are currently seeking a motivated Fabricator to join their Vinyl Fab Shop, offering a supportive environment for skill growth and career development.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and repair customer orders using a variety of materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders accurately.
- Perform MIG/TIG welding and metal finishing.
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal components.
- Fit, install, and assemble fabricated structures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate shop machinery and power tools (training provided).
- Assist with material handling in and out of the shop.
Requirements
- MIG welding experience required; TIG welding a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
- Must be able to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Certified welder/fabricator preferred.
- Ability to pass DuraMag welding test.
- Familiarity with AWS welding symbols.
- MIG/TIG welding with steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.
- Willingness to learn and rotate tasks.
- Follows safety procedures and wears PPE as required.
- Strong teamwork skills and adaptability in a changing environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality craftsmanship.
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
- Must be able to lift, push, and carry 50 – 70 pounds.
- Must be able to work in various conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat and cold.
