Overview

The FIELD SERVICE WELDER TECH 2 position involves working in the field on industrial and mechanical projects, focusing on the maintenance and repair of machinery and mining equipment. Candidates must be prepared to work in various conditions and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and mining equipment.
• Utilize welding and mechanical skills in various settings.
• Work in adverse weather conditions and at heights.
• Travel with limited notice and work in different departments when field work is unavailable.
• Work regular overtime as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in welding or heavy industrial mechanics.
• Knowledge of shop mechanics and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, identify, and correct problems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with a focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task daily.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn and travel to lower 48 states, Canada, and Mexico.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Preferred: MSHA certification and OSHA safety training.
• Preferred: 2 year Welding degree or certificate.
• Preferred: Successfully completed college welding program or have at least 2 years of welding experience including dual shield welding.

Additional Information

• Lift or carry 75lbs.
• Pre-employment drug testing, functional job analysis, and background checks are required.
