Overview

GEDIA Georgia is a growing Tier 1 supply company located in Dalton, GA, seeking Repair Weld Operators to ensure product quality through manual weld repairs and support key production functions. The ideal candidate will be an energetic team player looking for a long-term career with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual weld repairs on assemblies.
  • Operate and manage robotic laser and assembly cells.
  • Assist fabrication.
  • Provide production tooling support.
  • Work with maintenance when required.
  • Build wraps and racks.
  • Run assembly cells, lasers, and off-stacking for the press.
  • Maintain flexibility in daily tasks based on production priorities.
  • Train future Repair Weld Operators as the department grows.
  • Conduct quick quality checks.
  • Implement quality control documentation.
  • Transport materials throughout the plant.
  • Assist in changing the welding devices.
  • Maintain cleanliness on the laser machine and work area.

Requirements

  • Welding degree from an accredited institution.
  • Successfully complete and pass two welding qualification tests: Visual welding test and Cut and etch test.
  • Recent welding experience, having held a welding-related job within the last year.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Must be flexible and willing to assist other departments.
  • Ability to move throughout the plant, including upper-level areas.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors for repair tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
