Responsibilities
- Meet with customers and interpret process prints to produce parts or assemblies to customer requirements.
- Verify material and component type and quantity before use.
- Perform daily and weekly machine maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe and unobstructed work area.
- Understand and follow safe operating procedures.
- Set up and operate production weld equipment, including MiG, TiG, plasma-arc, stud and spot welding equipment.
- Assist team members with set-up and operation.
- Improve the quality of product and processes through improving fixtures and tooling applications.
- Inspect and approve work prior to sending to the next operation.
- Complete all required company paperwork.
- Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brake presses, shears and notchers to shear, notch and form metal components for assembly.
- Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using gauges, calipers, templates, or tape measures.
- Read and interpret fabrication/welding specifications from text, drawings and CAD drawings.
- Know proper measurement techniques.
- Understand forming and layout of sheet metal.
- Have knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the fabrication of sheet metal structures.
- Utilize mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions and using a tape measure.
- Complete a Fab and Fit-Up test during the interview process.
- Lift up to 75 pounds and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Ability to set up and operate production weld equipment.
- Skilled at set-ups and meets or exceeds proven set-up times.
- Knowledge and operation of welding equipment, hand tools, power tools and production equipment.
- Knowledge of MIG, Dual Shield, and Stick welding.
- Ability to read and understand process flow and blueprints.
- Mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items.

Additional Information
- Day shift (6:30am - 4:00pm) May Vary.
- Monday to Friday.
- Overtime required.
