Overview
Technique is looking for a Fabricator to join their team at a North Carolina chassis facility, responsible for producing precision sheet metal components and fabricated assemblies for various industries including aerospace and automotive. The role requires a skilled craftsperson who values quality and precision in their work.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate sheet metal components and assemblies from raw stock to finished dimensions using various equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Plan and perform accurate layout of parts prior to forming and cutting.
- Operate press brakes and forming equipment to achieve complex geometries and precise dimensions.
- Perform shearing, laser cutting, or plasma cutting operations to produce blanks and finished profiles.
- Perform MIG, TIG, or spot welding operations as required.
- Use precision measuring instruments to inspect work at each fabrication stage.
- Deburr, grind, and finish fabricated components to meet drawing requirements.
- Handle raw materials and finished parts with care to prevent damage.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in setup methods and processes.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean workstation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on fabrication experience in a precision or production sheet metal environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with press brakes, shears, punches, and forming equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications accurately.
- Proficient use of precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers.
- MIG, TIG, or spot welding experience preferred; willingness to cross-train in welding processes required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in an active manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and metal dust.

Additional Information
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime as needed.
- Days and hours required may vary.
