Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. This is an entry level position requiring a welding certification and some knowledge of fabrication, with training provided to learn all aspects of the trade.

Responsibilities

• Shear steel plates and angles in a hydraulic ironworker.
• Layout and punch holes in steel plates and angles using a hydraulic ironworker.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
• Perform welding tasks using a MIG machine.
• Grind and remove slag from any burned work pieces.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Operate cranes and rigging equipment safely during the fabrication process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process.

Requirements

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Must have a welding certification and be able to perform welds in the flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Must have the stamina to operate power and hand tools for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift pieces of steel when required.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Experience operating cranes and rigging equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with machining processes is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
