Overview
ICG is a custom metal fabrication shop focused on high-quality railings, handrails, fences, and gates. The Railing Fabricator / Installer role involves both shop fabrication and field installation of residential and light commercial railing systems.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, fit, tack, weld, grind, and finish railings/handrails.
- Read basic drawings/measurements and build to spec.
- Maintain quality, consistency, and clean workmanship.
- Keep a safe, organized workspace.
- Install railings/handrails on stairs, landings, decks, and ramps.
- Core drill, set posts, fasten hardware, align/level/plumb.
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site.
- Work safely around homes, job sites, and finished surfaces.
Requirements
- Experience in metal fabrication and/or railing installation (or strong transferable construction skills).
- MIG Welding experience.
- Comfortable using power tools and working with steel/aluminum.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean work.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varied conditions.
- TIG experience (nice-to-have).
- Ability to layout/fit railings from measurements (nice-to-have).
- Finish work experience (grinding, sanding, prep for paint) (nice-to-have).
- Experience with anchors/epoxy, core drilling, and concrete work (nice-to-have).
- OSHA 10, forklift, rigging experience (nice-to-have).
