Overview

We are seeking a Metal Welder for our Healthcare Diagnostics division in Rockford, TN. The position involves setting up and welding various materials and piping, maintaining critical metals for production, and performing related operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and weld all types of materials and piping using appropriate equipment and processes.
• Perform operations such as acetylene cutting, arc gouging, plasma cutting, brazing, and soldering.
• Maintain critical metals for the production process.
• Weld Iridium Crucibles to meet specifications.
• Clean metals using a media blaster.
• Press various metals to meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of all processing steps on paper and in the database.
• Preheat and stress relieve parts.
• Heat-treat parts, tools, and materials using processes like carbonizing, tempering, and annealing.
• Prep, clean, and stress metal surfaces by grit blasting peening.
• Chip, grind, and clean weldments; preserve as required.
• Assemble diaphragms and parts as required.
• Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• 1-2 years of welding experience, preferably with Aluminum.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
• Good PC skills, including MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience following MPI documentation and safety procedures.
• Experience working in a product-oriented technical-industrial environment.
• Ability to weld various metals: Iridium, platinum, and aluminum.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with hand tools.

Additional Information

• Pay rate is $22 to $24 per hour.
• Duration of the position is 12 months.
• Work schedule includes weekends as part of regular hours.
• Overtime is required.
• Work location is in person.
