Overview
Hydera is a full-service transportation tank services provider in Goose Creek, South Carolina, specializing in cleaning, storage, maintenance, repair, and heating on ISO tanks and related equipment. The company is committed to safety, environmental protection, and ethical business practices, seeking an experienced professional to help start a new facility.
Responsibilities
- Inspect ISO tanks to confirm they are empty and clean upon entering the shop.
- Test and calibrate safety relief valves, vacuum relief valves, and other pressure systems.
- Generate repair estimates for additional work identified during testing.
- Follow quality control and assurance procedures to ensure repairs meet requirements.
- Conduct daily inspections and ensure safe operation of all equipment.
- Document repair methods and complete work in the Depot Software accurately.
- Perform mechanical and structural repairs using various tools and equipment.
- Complete leak, pressure, periodic, and hydrostatic testing on ISO tanks.
- Perform welding and fabrication on trailers and ISO tanks using various techniques.
- Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safety procedures.
- Support other yard and depot operations as required.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including blueprints and technical manuals.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Possesses general mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Ability to work with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Must be able to safely perform work in confined space environments.
- Experience with and ability to use hand tools, power tools, hoists, and forklifts.
- Working knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Strong knowledge of ISO tank construction, valves, and fittings.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience in a production environment and in metal fabrication and welding processes.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- AWS or equivalent welding certification is preferred.

Additional Information
- Full-time Non-Exempt position.
- Works 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
- Some additional work hours and weekends may be required.
- Subject to activities inside and outside with varying temperatures and conditions.
