Responsibilities

• Position, fabricate, and assemble structural metal/aluminum products according to the workflow and production schedule.
• Construct trays, shelves, hosebed fronts, hosebeds, tool boards, slides, and assemble swivel dumps.
• Tack expanded metal and extrusions, cut and bend coffin lids.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, and drill presses.
• Design and construct templates and fixtures.
• Hammer, chip, and grind workpiece to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
• Verify conformance of workpiece to specifications.
• Follow all workplace rules and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Welding diploma/certificate is preferred.
• Previous applicable fabrication, welding, and brake press experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Ability to perform intermediate PC functions including spreadsheet formulas.
• Knowledge of basic inspection tools and machining skills.
• Able to recognize and adhere to all safety policies.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and tape measure.
