Overview

The Bell Company is a large Mechanical Contractor located in Glen Allen, VA, seeking Plumbers and Pipefitters for complex projects in the East Coast Market, with an initial assignment in Charlottesville. The pay rate is $35 - $37 per hour, plus additional bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the ethics and professionalism of The Bell Company.
• Work on hospitals, laboratories, and large industrial and institutional projects.
• Demonstrate rough-in experience and the ability to set a wide range of fixtures and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Perform bevel joint cutting with an oxy-acetylene torch.
• Demonstrate experience with equipment setting, start-up, and rigging.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Journeyman Plumber or Pipefitter.
• Familiarity with industrial, process piping systems, especially in institutional installations.
• Medical gas certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with industry standard and code compliant construction practices.
• Past experience in cast iron, PVC, CPVC, and copper for Plumbers.
• Past experience in stainless steel, carbon steel, heating and cooling lines for Pipefitters.
• OSHA 10 hour certification required prior to start date.
