Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling structural steel components with precision and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures.
- Perform MIG and FCAW welding, sheet metal, ductwork, custom fabrication, and other metal components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to prepare materials for welding and fabrication.
- Measure materials accurately to ensure precise cuts and fits.
- Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts for lifting, positioning, and assembling heavy steel structures safely.
- Follow ASME codes & standards to maintain quality control during fabrication and welding processes.
- Assist in pipe threading, soldering, mechanical assembly, and the use of schematics for complex projects.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety protocols on large-scale projects.
- Expertise in MIG and FCAW welding techniques; certification in these methods is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with fabrication tools including plasma cutters, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
- Experience working with ASME codes & standards for structural welding projects.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely.
