Overview

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps and solutions for the LNG and industrial gases industry. We are seeking a skilled Welder II to perform ASME B31.3 process pipe welding and process system installations for modular skids in our North Las Vegas facility.

Responsibilities

• Install stainless tube (1/4" – 1") and threaded pipe (1/2" - 2") in stainless and carbon steel.
• Perform welding of stainless and carbon steel pipe per ASME B31.3.
• Install pipe supports and process skids.
• Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
• Follow WPS and PQR to become a qualified ASME section IX welder.
• Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
• Align components using calipers and rulers, and clamp pieces.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety.
• Work from written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Use a variety of hand tools for fabricated assemblies.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of welding experience, preferably in stainless steel and carbon steel piping/pressure vessels.
• Ability to custom fit various piping, tubing, and clamps onto skid base.
• Ability to perform weld repairs on different pipe sizes.
• Completion of New Employee Safety Training is required.
• Ongoing job-specific training modules may be required.

Additional Information

• This position is located at our facility in North Las Vegas, NV.
• Gloves and ear protection are required.
• Ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work environment is a warehouse setting utilizing material handling equipment.
