Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of experienced Dredge Welder who can meet the requirements. Only applicants with verifiable dredge experience and qualifications should apply.

Responsibilities

• Upholds the Company’s commitment to an injury-free workplace and models safe work practices.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures.
• Works safely around machinery and instructs others in proper equipment use.
• Ensures team members are provided a safe work environment and are knowledgeable of safe work practices.
• Performs individualized specialized welding or cutting operations on materials, tools, and equipment.
• Supervises subordinate welders on a project basis.
• Conducts on-site preventive maintenance and safety inspections of light and heavy marine equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of welding experience; dredging or construction experience a plus.
• Trained in Lock/Out Tag Out Procedures, Fall Arrest, Confined Space and Ladder Safety.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as outlined in the Functional Job Description.
• Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening (drug test, fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testing.
