Bass Cat and Yar-Craft Boats is committed to building high-quality bass and walleye boats, emphasizing a culture of excellence and teamwork. They are seeking hardworking individuals for the Sandblaster / Parts Cutter position to sandblast trailers and cut parts for the welding department.

Responsibilities

• Sandblast trailers and utilize proper PPE.
• Perform plasma cutting.
• Engage in metal fabrication.
• Execute MiG welding, ensuring quality welds according to specifications.
• Inspect welds for accuracy.
• Prepare products for welding by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel parts.
• Identify and move finished products to the proper location.
• Ensure all equipment is set up and used safely.
• Operate a forklift if required and trained.
• Perform first piece inspections and subsequent inspections as required.
• Monitor equipment and request maintenance as needed.
• Conduct hydraulic and electrical diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform simple maintenance and repairs as required.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Experience with oxygen/acetylene torch.
• Previous MiG welding experience.
• Sandblasting experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Physical ability to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.

Additional Information

• This is a first shift position, with hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
• Starting pay is $15.90/hour based on experience.
• All positions are safety sensitive and require drug testing.
