Overview

As a Welder Advanced - Level 2 at Honeywell, you will perform skilled welding tasks that require advanced techniques and expertise to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components and structures. Your work will ensure the highest quality and safety standards are met in support of our aerospace and industrial products.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced welding operations including TIG, MIG, and arc welding on various metals and alloys according to engineering specifications and safety standards.
  • Inspect welds for quality and compliance using visual and non-destructive testing methods, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot welding issues and implement process improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years in heavy industrial/manufacturing environment performing welding tasks OR 1 year heavy manufacturing welding experience with technical welding certification.
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings.
  • Working knowledge of pipe fitting fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of required tools.
  • Ability to diagnose common problems and implement 'known' solutions to solve them.
  • Advanced working knowledge of welding equipment and tools.
  • Maintain previous welding qualifications through continual use.
  • Understanding of blueprints/drawings and ability to implement.
  • Basic understanding and ability to perform basic fiberglass repair and bondstrand/fibercast repairs.
  • US Person Requirement due to export control law.

Additional Information

  • Reports directly to the Welding Supervisor.
  • Works out of Shreveport, LA location on an On-site work schedule.
