Overview

The Welder 3 Team Lead position involves overseeing and coordinating production activities on the night shift, supporting safety and employee engagement, and ensuring quality standards are met. The role requires leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a positive work culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Supervisor in overseeing production employees.
• Participate in building a strong culture for site retention goals.
• Support safety by resolving problems and completing paperwork.
• Drive employee engagement through one-on-one discussions.
• Prepare and administer employee goal check-ins and performance reviews.
• Apply root cause analysis for corrective actions and non-conformances.
• Manage time and labor reporting, including PTO requests and payroll.
• Supervise staff to ensure efficient production and workflow.
• Identify safety, quality, and production issues and solutions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Oversee daily functions of the department with guidance and direction.
• Ensure adequate supply of tools and consumables for production.
• Help reduce production costs while maintaining quality.
• Enforce safety rules and ensure team members wear protective gear.
• Inspect team members' work to meet quality standards.
• Demonstrate prompt and dependable attendance with flexibility.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years' experience in a related field preferred.
• Leadership skills to positively impact team members.
• Training and experience in personnel management.
• Good understanding of company policies and procedures.

• Night shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, with overtime on Fridays as needed.
