Overview

DFC Company is a growing specialty contractor involved in residential and commercial fence, highway guardrail, fabrication, and playground construction. The Welder/Fabricator position in Fargo, ND, requires interpreting shop drawings and fabricating components through welding and assembly methods.

Responsibilities

• Interpret shop drawings and accurately lay out materials for fabrication.
• Manufacture components, products, and equipment through welding and other assembly methods.
• Collaborate with CAD drafters to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Organize and store materials effectively to maximize shop and yard space.
• Assist field crews with loading and unloading job materials.
• Safely operate mobile equipment as needed to perform daily job responsibilities.
• Follow all company safety procedures and environmental policies.
• Fabricate custom parts and equipment according to detailed design drawings and specifications.

Requirements

• Must be a qualified welder.
• Required to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
