The Welder position involves welding metal and aluminum components to fabricate or repair products according to specifications, while ensuring safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Utilize safety devices and wear mandatory personal protective equipment.
• Maintain and operate production tooling and welding equipment safely.
• Produce high-quality welds using GMAW arc welding.
• Perform welding operations from blueprints or specifications.
• Adjust welding equipment settings as needed.
• Read and complete labor reporting and shop forms.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets for welding.
• Setup, operate, and perform general maintenance of equipment.
• Make mathematical calculations for product preparation or machinery setup.
• Collaborate with coworkers to complete jobs.

Requirements

• One to three years of hands-on MIG welding experience in a production environment.
• Two years of previous experience in a professional welding position.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• AWS certified welder operator qualification.
• CWB certified welder operator qualification.
• Ability to read weld symbols and understand blueprints.
• Ability to calculate simple mathematics and interpret shop drawings.
• Basic working knowledge of computer programs like Microsoft Outlook.
• Acceptable attendance and prior employment record.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, preferred.
• Ability to use and accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions.
• Ability to pass an onsite welding assessment, if applicable.

Additional Information

• Starting pay is $22.53/hour.
• Full-time hours are Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM with overtime as needed.
