Overview
The Welder-Ladder Construction position at Rosenbauer involves various welding operations including ladder construction and other related components. Applicants are required to complete an application on the company website.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for welding operations per drawings and specifications.
- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding.
- Interpret mechanical drawings and weld requirement symbology.
- Apply knowledge of wire and filler materials for steel and aluminum.
- Set up welding parameters and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
- Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating and distortion.
- Examine work pieces for defects and ensure conformance with specifications.
- Use hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly.
- Maintain welding equipment and detect faulty operations.
- Perform finish grinding applications.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
- Collaborate with associates to meet production schedules.
Requirements
- One year experience in various forms of welding.
- Vertical/horizontal/overhead welding experience preferred.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of machines, tools, and raw materials.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.
- Must possess a satisfactory safety record.
- Ability to pass welder qualification test within the first year.
