Overview
Join our team as a Custom Metal Fabricator and bring innovative metalworking projects to life! This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse fabrication tasks, transforming raw materials into precise, high-quality components for custom luxury homes.
Responsibilities
- Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components.
- Design projects out in Autocad, when designs are not given.
- Operate various fabrication equipment including press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining tools to shape and assemble metal parts.
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG, FCAW to ensure strong, durable joints that meet ASME codes & standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Assemble fabricated parts according to schematics and specifications while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed during fabrication and assembly processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site environments or manufacturing settings involving metal fabrication.
- Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, soldering.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings with precision.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with vehicles and maintenance is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
