Responsibilities
- Lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of structural metal products according to customer plans and drawings.
- Study specifications and blueprints to determine materials required.
- Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding using knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for welding.
- Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form sub-units for welding or bolting.
- Rig, hoist, and move materials within the work-site.
- Setup and operate heavy metal-working machines to cut, shape, bend, and form the metal.
- Install fabricated components in final products.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the field.
- Ability to recognize distortion caused by welding.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, twist, stand, and reach repetitively.
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, damp, and cramped environments.
- Background check and drug screen based on job location/requirements.
- Must be able to work up to 200 feet.

Additional Information
- 40 or more hours per week with possible weekend work.
